TWO LOCAL BUSINESSES MERGE – Phoneta and Gylly Computer Services combine to expand their offerings

Phoneta are pleased to announce the next development in our journey. Phoneta are merging with Gylly Computer Services, a well-established and local IT business.

Phoneta have provided their quality overflow call handling service for many years whilst Gylly have supported Phoneta’s in house IT. As part of Phoneta’s rebrand, Phoneta planned to build it’s own IT service provider, however the opportunity arose to merge with a well respected and local IT Company. As part of the merge, Gylly will be supporting these systems to ensure vast improvements so that a high standard of IT, business and telephony services can be offered across the South West.

With the current client base of Gylly Computer Services expanding, Gylly wanted to continue to offer the personal but professional IT Service to their business and hospitality clients. The merger will allow them to upscale and offer a wider range of competitive services to their current clients, and attract new.

With over 6 years at the helm current director Sophie Mitchell has taken the decision to take a back step and concentrate on bringing up their 3 year old son and focusing on other projects. Ian Mitchell will be merging into the team at Phoneta Communications ltd as Techincal Director. Joining him, will be Simon Caddy as Director of Communications, supported by Phoneta’s other Directors Kevyn and Anthony Caddy. Simon Caddy said “This is a really exciting time for the businesses, as by combining the experience of Gylly, and infrastructure of Phoneta Communications, we can develop a stronger, more flexible offering across Cornwall and the South West”. Simon Caddy will take the lead in developing existing relationships, discovering new opportunities and will offer the first line of support.

Phoneta Communications will continue to trade as Gylly Computer Services for the next 12 months. The technical team will be led by Ian Mitchell, with the support of Sam McCune as Network Engineer. The merger will allow Gylly to expand the engineering team and the clients we support.
